River Plate Foundation and BBVA arrived in Jujuy to carry out the School of Trainers, a program aimed at training those who educate and promote social integration through the training of leaders from sports and social spaces. These leaders face the daily challenge of motivating and educating children, youth, and adults. Declared of provincial interest, the event gathered more than 350 coaches and club leaders from social organizations, taking place over two full days at Club Deportivo Luj\u00e1n (Tumusla 795, San Salvador de Jujuy). The opening ceremony was attended by Normando \u00c1lvarez Garc\u00eda, Minister of Government; Luis Calveti, Secretary of Sports of the Province; Clara D\u00b4Onofrio, President of River Plate Foundation; Giuliano Baruzzo, Director of Methodology; and from BBVA, Mar\u00eda Martha Deleonardis, Principal Manager of Responsible Business for BBVA in Argentina. During the opening remarks, Clara D\u00b4Onofrio stated: “It’s an honor to be in Jujuy, to have so many participants eager to learn and take away more tools to continue promoting the role of sports as a social tool. Bringing these training sessions is very important to us; for us, a ball is an opportunity to educate girls and boys in values that shape their lives.” Mar\u00eda Martha Deleonardis highlighted the great enthusiasm shown by the participants, achieving a record number of registrations for this initiative, and expressed BBVA’s pride in this accomplishment. “Having the opportunity to hold events like this, together with River Plate Foundation, is essential to achieving the reach and reception we aim for. We need these institutions, so important to the community, to be financially healthy and sustainable, which is why we focus on financial education,” said the executive from the banking institution. Luis Calvetti, the Secretary of Sports, emphasized the massive turnout at Club Luj\u00e1n, where trainers from all regions of the province and contingents from other provinces gathered to participate in the 2024 Sports Development Plan promoted by the provincial government. He also praised the fruitful collaboration with River Plate Foundation and BBVA Argentina, expressing interest in establishing new partnerships to provide more training opportunities for the province’s sports community. Throughout the sessions, topics based on River Plate Foundation’s Methodology were addressed, including “Sport and Pedagogy,” “Organizing for Coaching,” “Sports Psychology,” and “Sport and Disability,” among others. BBVA conducted a workshop on “Financial Education for Neighborhood Clubs and Social Organizations” and presented a free and publicly accessible Financial Education Platform. The aim was to help participants acquire knowledge related to administration and finances, applicable to their clubs and social organizations.
