River Plate Foundation hosted Independiente de Santa Fe from Bogotá for a new edition of “Joining Values,” a mixed football sports event aimed at sharing a day of sports and values at the River Plate Hurlingham venue.
River Plate Foundation carried out the new edition of Joining Values, a sports event where over 100 girls and boys aged 12 and 13, participating in mixed football programs from various organizations where sports serve as a tool for sports and social development, came together to experience a day of sports and values.
Uniting Values is a sports event aimed at strengthening bonds and promoting values in sports. During the event, River Plate Foundation brought together a selection of mixed schools to meet with teams from Independiente Santa Fe de Bogotá; Unión Ferroviaria Villars; Club Virgen del Valle Rosario; and River Schools from San Justo, Florencio Varela, and Santa Fé. These teams competed for the “Champion of Perseverance” cup, the “Sportsmanship Cup,” and the most important for the organizations and participants: the “Champion of Values Cup.”
Additionally, during the games, referees highlighted good actions of the participants with a “green card.” The event included value stations where boys and girls shared moments of play and fun with kermesse activities, skills challenges, and ingenuity games, each reflecting different values.
“For us, it is very important to be able to hold these encounters and continue building relationships with entities that share our same principles. During the tournament, we saw participants interacting with other teams and sharing good actions and attitudes both on and off the field, which makes us proud because that’s what we aim to convey as River Plate Foundation,” concluded Guiliano Baruzzo, Director of Methodology at River Plate Foundation.
