The River Plate Foundation hosted a new edition of Entrenándome para la Vida (Training for Life) with Rodrigo Aliendro at Escuela Primaria No. 12 Almirante Guillermo Brown in Parque San Martín, Merlo. This initiative aims to highlight the importance of education and inspire effort and perseverance to achieve dreams.
More than 80 students participated in an afternoon filled with activities and games, as well as an inspiring talk and moments of reflection. During the event, Rodrigo Aliendro took part in a discussion where he reminisced about his beginnings at school, reunited with his teacher, and shared a message with all the students: “Consistency and perseverance brought me to where I am today. I’m very happy to be at River and enjoy it every day. That’s why perseverance is so important—don’t give up, keep trying. Whatever you choose, pursue it, and don’t let anything stop you from achieving your dreams.”
At the same time, Lucía de la Vega, Executive Director of the River Plate Foundation, stated, “By connecting idols with their origins, whether it’s their school or childhood club, we aim to bring a message to the kids sitting at the same desks where that idol once sat. A message that inspires them to pursue their dreams and highlights the core values needed to achieve them, such as effort, perseverance, and self-improvement.”
Additionally, as part of the event, sports equipment, calculators, school supplies, and a speaker were donated to support the great work being done by the school. In this way, the River Plate Foundation continues to promote values through its sports, educational, and social programs, teaching young people that with training, dreams can become a reality.
