Juana Cángaro: “Always forward”

Fundación River Plate held a new edition of Training for Life with Juana Cángaro at Club Mercedes, Mercedes. This initiative aims to highlight the importance of education and inspire effort and perseverance to achieve dreams.

More than 50 girls from the women’s soccer teams of Club Mercedes and Club Estudiantes participated in an afternoon where, divided into groups, they learned the values of teamwork, trust, perseverance, and commitment through games.

During the event, Juana, a player from River Plate’s women’s team, took part in an interview where she reflected on her beginnings in soccer. “I was told I couldn’t play soccer because I was a girl and there were no mixed competitions, and all I wanted was to play. Now, as an adult, I deeply appreciate all the effort my family made and how they supported me to be where I am today.”

Paz Morad, coordinator of the educational and social programs at Fundación River Plate, stated, “It is very important and inspiring to listen to the new generations of women’s soccer, as they recognize the daily work and effort they put in to reach where they are today.”

Additionally, as part of the event, soccer balls, sports equipment, and a projector were donated to support the outstanding work carried out by the club.

In this way, Fundación River continues promoting values through its sports, educational, and social programs, teaching young people that with dedication and training, dreams can come true.
